Back a few months ago I saw a picture on Facebook of a guardian angel who looked exhausted...I can't help but imagine our guardian angels and how exhausted they must feel after a day's work! I bet they are SO relieved when we are asleep and not getting ourselves into new "adventures"! The day after our trip to Figye we were in Port au Prince training all of the Salvation Army churches for Awana. We were sitting in traffic a couple of miles from our hotel and in 40 minutes this is how bad the flooding got!
It poured, afternoon school had just let out and the kids in their uniforms were practically swimming home! Motos were stalled everywhere.
This is a major intersection in Port. See that semi? It's trailer was literally being swept by the rushing water and jack-knifed by the time we got up there. The driver just sat there with his arms crossed. haha!
This was right down the road from our hotel. At this point we were weaving in and out of stalled cars, Frantzy had to kick the car into 4-wheel drive to get through the deep trash that had washed out onto the road, and our car began shaking like it was going to stall! We were praying so loud! And I got too freaked out to take a picture when the water got up to our windshield. By the time we pulled into our hotel we had NO brakes and our poor car just shook.
The next morning it started right up after we fished trash out of the engine.
For the next few days we saw cars with trash all wrapped up in the tie rods and under the car! It was awful trying to unwrap all of it!
Just to be clear, this is NOT our car! :)
Thanks to all who pray for us on a daily basis! As you can see, they are working and we clearly need the prayers! :)

Grandma, grandpa, and I were talking about your guardian angels just last week. We decided they have to be rotated out on a regular basis due to exhaustion! Love you guys!!
