i'd give anything to hug Jesus right now.

That's how I've described my relationship with Him lately.  Literally, I would give anything to just march up to heaven, give Him a huge hug, come back down, and move to Haiti.

Raising any kind of finances is a huge ordeal.  Whether it's money for a mission trip to work with homeless in Louisville, change to buy purifier straws for kids in a third-world country, or raising full-time support as a missionary.  It's stressful, you're sick to your stomach all the time wondering if the money will come in, and you feel like you're holding your breath.

And then...

You get an email, then an envelope, then a phone call, and you start hearing things like, "we'd love to support you", "you're doing WHAT?  get me in on this!", etc.

God blows your socks off, and in TWO weeks. TWO WEEKS.  Every penny that you needed is raised.

Seriously.

How could I ever doubt a God who provides so much, every time?  When the money started coming in I felt like a fool for stressing out and making myself sick. He's never abandoned me and not provided. Why do we always think He might?

God has literally provided everything that I've needed so far.  From a phone call of encouragement exactly when I needed it, to a backpack, and now my monthly support.

There are still needs, and I know He'll meet them.  He's using my brothers and sisters to do so, and it's incredible.  It's the most humbling thing in the world, when you realize that God has a plan for you and you aren't the only one who believes that.  Others see it, and support it.

I just couldn't go another day without sharing what He has done!  I want God to be glorified all the time, in every aspect of the ministry that He has called me to.  I really, really believe that this blog post will be glorifying to Him.  And I hope and pray that when you finish reading this, you'll take a moment to stop and thank Him for all that He's done for you.

We are deeply loved by the Creator of the Universe.  He provides what His children need.  Let's never forget that.

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! 1 John 3:1

         65 days.

If you are one of the incredible people who have committed to praying for me or financially supporting me, THANK YOU!  There aren't words to express how thankful I am for you.
