Many of you have been keeping up with Ricard and Geralda's story. They were supposed to get married in May and the mother in law called it off because they weren't having a traditional catholic wedding, then they thought they were going to lose their home so they put the wedding off. At the beginning of October they came to us and told us they were finally ready to get married. They wanted to do it the following Saturday but we told them they should at least give their guests some notice! We scheduled it for October 18. Everything was planned, October 16 rolled around and they didn't have a pastor. So they asked a family friend who happens to be a priest to do the ceremony for them. He agreed to do it October 19 in his office at the church. Frantzy and I weren't crazy about this idea, but the couple shared that they felt like they couldn't put this off again and catholic priest or pastor...they were doing this to get their life right with God! Their marriage license was lost, our car broke down, it was quite the eventful weekend! This wedding couldn't have ever happened if it wasn't for the Lord. Ricard and Geralda were the first to recognize that and share it and for that, we are so thankful! Once these two make a decision to finally follow Him with all their heart, I believe they'll be unstoppable!
The ceremony was sweet, they did a good job making it their own...even if it was in an office! They came back to our house afterward for a small reception with friends.
This was Ricard's face when he first Geralda :)
