Ever been in one of the
awkward transition stages when you don’t really know who you’re allowed to
tell, when you’re allowed to tell them, or you just aren’t sure it’s ACTUALLY
happening yet? Well, that’s basically
been my life the last couple of months.

What does this look like
for me: I’ll be helping Awana with the relaunch. In December they will be training leaders and
getting the material to the people. This
will begin in Les Cayes (the very southern part of Haiti), and the farther up
it moves it seems the bigger responsibility I will have! I am so excited to be a teeny tiny part in
this ministry in Haiti. God never ceases
to amaze me with new surprises He has up His sleeve! I bet He just laughs when I stress out and
cry because I don’t know what I’m doing next. J
What else has God been up to: I have a house! While mom and I were in Haiti we went
apartment shopping…in an afternoon and a very large joint effort with many
people, we rented a house for a year!
It’s 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, it has a gate, a wall, and…it’s pink and
green! I love it! God was so good and has provided everything
we need for it so far! It’s opening up
incredible ministry opportunities, we’ll be hosting about 12 teams a year. We
just had a 40’ container arrive in Haiti.
It has all the furniture and appliances for the house! Please be in prayer that it gets through
customs quickly and cheaply.
I’ve been in the States
for a few weeks now. I came back for
traning and meetings with Awana, and because we don’t have the keys to the
house yet, I was in an awkward transition stage and didn’t have enough to keep
me busy in Haiti. I’ve been SO busy here
in the States! We have a new contact who
donates tons of stuff. We’ve gotten
everything from toilet paper to Lint Lizards!
It’s a blast going through everything, but definitely a full time
job! I’ve been staying really busy here
in Indiana!
Something to pray
about: I need a vehicle. Bad.
Right now my only form of transportation are tap-taps. And as a single, American girl…these are
really dangerous. People are often
attacked and robbed. Because a large
part of the ministry I’m working in is distributing supplies, this is just not
possible. Will you please be in prayer
with me for a vehicle? Buying a vehicle
in Haiti is tough. No one is honest and
it can turn into a very bad and expensive situtation. I’ve done a ton of research and I think
buying a vehicle here and shipping it over is my best bet. The only problem, it’s expensive. I’m terrrrrrible at asking for money, so I
made some cuts to my budget and I think by the end of December I could have
enough to buy a fairly decent vehicle here in America. But that won’t do me much good sitting in
Indiana! So I’ll need to raise some
money to ship it over. We’ve estimated
that for shipping and customs fees we can probably get it in for about
$5,000. (I gasped too when I saw that
typed out.). That’s a TON of money! But I believe my God has an incredible plan,
and He’s got a lot of money! Will you be
in prayer with me? Pray that God would
provide the right vehicle, that I would be patient and not get discouraged
(that happens way too much!), and that the money for shipping and customs would
come in. Let’s break it down…if I get
100 people to donate $50, it’s a done deal!
$50 is what? 10 days worth of
Starbucks! We can totally do this! It would be ideal if I could have this money
by the end of December and my car can be on it’s way to Haiti…what a great
Christmas present that would be! If you
believe God is leading you in helping out with this, THANK YOU! Anything helps! Seriously, $5-$5,000, I’m blown away by any
support I get. It’s always the most
incredible thing when I see donations of shoes, money, or clothes coming in for
Haiti. He always provides and I have no
doubt He’ll provide this time! I will
keep a total going on my blog and you guys can check in and see how the
fundraising is going!
Once again, thank you all
for every penny, prayer, and thought.
You guys continually blow me away.

A
special thanks to all who helped out financially and prayerfully with the shoes
for the beautiful children of Bios Neuf!
They were so happy. We were able
to put the two pair of shoes into a fabric backpack & include miniature
Christmas bags with toothpaste, soap, and other goodies!
Thank you for your prayers. I’d love to
hear from you and see how I can be praying for you!

Jenny... I know God will provide the vehicle you need and the money to get it to Haiti. He alone is worthy to be praised.
