Intership: Week 1

The first week of the internship was a week of orientation, meeting a zillion people, unpacking, getting lost, understanding technology, going out to eat, starting pistols, sushi, new roommates, broken down car, realizing how much groceries cost, laughing, making new friends, tours, cubicles, meeting more people, etc.

My favorite part of the entire week was Jesus. And how He teaches us. The start of my internship my car broke down...very first day, in fact, I hadn't even met anyone yet. If that doesn't make you question if what you are doing is right...I don't know what will. Long story short, my car needed a new transmission...YES, the transmission!! That's expensive, and I had no idea how I was going to pay for it, as far as I was concerned, I told everyone I would be getting a car on Friday, but I was convinced Elgin Transmission had inheritted a Pontiac Sunfire, because there was no way I was ever going to be able to pay for it. You know, you would think I would learn someday, Jesus always provides, I had no idea how I was going to pay for YWAM, I went ahead and signed up, and all the money came in, I had no idea how I was going to get to Chicago, I went ahead and told Brannon that I would be driving (what I would be driving, I had no idea) and the Lord provided me a car, we didn't know how we would pay for the first trip to Haiti, we went ahead and booked everything, and guess what...the Lord provided. He is SO good, and I will never ever understand why He is so good to me. The Friday after I got to Chicago, I got a text from my dad that said the car was done, so I called him at work and asked how I would pay for it, he then told me that it had been taken care of. That people had heard that my car had broken down, and they wanted to help, so they paid for my car. Seriously. I'm typing this and crying. God is SO good, and when you are doing what He wants, He's going to provide. I'm still in awe, I have no idea who gave the money, no one will tell me. God is so good.

Philippians 4:19
And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

That, was my favorite part of the entire week.

If you are one of the people who gave and you are reading this, THANK YOU!
What you did, means the world to me.
