December Update!

Hey Everyone! I hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving and you are getting ready for Christmas! I had an amazing Thanksgiving, I went home, and only told my parents and brother I was going home, so it was a really awesome weekend full of surprising people. It was extremely restful and helped me to get focused back on the teachings and not so much on how much I missed home. We went ahead and celebrated Christmas while I was home because I won't be home for Christmas, it was a really awesome evening with family. Something that I definitely needed and I'm so thankful that I was able to do!
Things here at Eagle Rock are really awesome, we recently had a week on "Spiritual Warfare" taught by Dean Sherman which rocked my world! Going into ministry in Haiti that was by far one of the most impactful weeks for me. We then had a week of teaching on the "Holy Spirit", taught by Pastor J.R., who is a local pastor here in Colorado and yesterday we began our week of "Fear of the Lord" taught by Mark Davies. I love this teaching, it's day two and I already have so many notes and good points, I'm excited to share with folks back home!
Here at YWAM three times a week we have a time of intercession, intercession basically means that we are "standing in the gap" on behalf of someone else. We pray for other countries, and ask God what it is He wants us to pray for in that country and then we pray for it! It's a really awesome and intimate time with God! This morning we had intercession on Haiti! It was amazing! I firmly believe that somewhere Jesus Christ touched lives and rocked the country of Haiti this morning at about 10am. As we were all praying it brought tears to my eyes seeing so many people praying for this dark country! The enemy has such a huge stronghold on the country of Haiti and it was super encouraging seeing people praying for those things to be broken and for freedom for the people and the country!
Things are still going really awesome with our group, it's a bittersweet time, because we all know that our time living together and always seeing eachother is coming to an end. We leave for Colombia on Christmas day and our Thailand team leaves December 23. PLEASE pray for these teams, I know God is going to use us in mighty ways to further His kingdom, and I just ask that you pray that we are able to hear what God's will is and that we have the courage and perseverance to pull through!
Please pray for:
- The outreach leaders, that God would speak to them and tell them what it is He has for the teams, and He would open up doors for us to do amazing things for His kingdom.-The students, we are all getting excited for outreach, pray that we remember to focus on our last few weeks of lecture phase and that we would get the most out of it.-Pray for the families of the students, that they would all be flooded with a peace about their loved ones going to another country.
Thank you all so so so much! While I'm on outreach we are going to be sending out one update for the entire team, because we aren't always going to have access to a computer, so if you would still like to get these updates shoot me an email and I will get you on the list! jenny.2009@yahoo.com
In Christ alone,
Jenny
