October Update

Hey everyone!
I thought i would update all of you on my first official week of classes here at YWAM! This week the teaching was on "Father Heart of God" and it was amazing. Marty Meyer was our special guest speaker, he's also the base director of YWAM-Idaho and he's played a big role in YWAM-India, so it was really amazing hearing his story. I went into the week not expecting much, because everyone made it sound like the week would only be good if you didn't have a good earthly father, and as most of you know, my dad rocks! So the first couple of days I didn't get much, just becuase it was a healing time for the other students who didn't have good earthly parents, but by the end of the week, I had learned so much! I really don't know how any other week of this lecture phase is going to go better.

God's working in radical ways here with all of the students and staff, I get so excited hearing about their experiences, and their plans after YWAM. Next week our teaching will be on the character of God. Donna MacGowan is teaching that, so it's going to be amazing! I'm very excited to see what all God has in store for week 3 of my YWAM experience!

The weather here has been outstanding! Today it was in the 70's and sunny! My new friend Carlee and I went to the prayer chapel and just chilled for about 2 hours. It's a beautiful view of the mountains and God's amazing creation!

Everyday we have "work duties" just to keep up the base and such, and I'm on the "wood crew". I love every second of it! Being outside in the beautiful weather is so great! I thought I would throw that in there, because I hear my dad's pretty proud about that ; )

I can't believe I'm getting ready to start the third week of YWAM, in some ways it seems like it's flying by and in others not so much!

Please remember to pray for:

- Our outreach leaders, our teams are going to Colombia and Thailand and the leaders need prayers as they are planning the trips. That God would guide them and give them the wisdom to take us the places where we can make the biggest impact!

- Our base leaders Mark and Donna MacGowan and the rest of the staff. They have a lot going on right now taking care of all of the students and themselves as well.

-The students and their families. I'm learning how difficult it is to be away from family, home and loved ones for this long. And I know that my family is struggling also, with not having all of us together, so please remember to pray for the students, that God would remind them that this is what He has called them to do! Thanks so much for all of your prayers.

Love, Jenny
